Lifting up leaders

How often do you pray for your church leaders?

Most people pray. Studies have shown that even atheist pray at times - although I don't know who they are praying to.

Some of the most common topics that people pray about is their health, their, finances, and their relationships.

But how often do you pray for your pastor, or your elders, or other church leaders?

These people need prayer!

The Bible says that the devil goes around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. And he probably finds no more tasty treat than the leaders of the local church.

If he can lead the leaders into sin - often the congregation is deeply harmed.

A while back, three men agreed to lift my wife and I up in prayer.

Those prayers worked! My wife pointed it out the following week.

Something changed and a spiritual breakthrough occurred. Our spirits lifted and our vision expanded in ways it hadn't for some time.

We realized then just how much under spiritual attack we had been. Satan, the accuser of the brethren, had been going through like a roaring lion in our lives.

To Rick, Billie, and Tim as well as a wonderful couple we visit with in Panera's,
Thank You!

The apostle Paul wrote that he wanted prayers for himself. How much more does your pastor need them.

Keep praying and watch how God answers prayer.

You may not realize it, but when you lift up the pastors in the church, you are doing a wonderful work! Every year, large numbers of ministers drop out of the ministry.

Remember what Jesus said, 'You have not because you ask not.'

This is pastor John
