Kicked out of church for ...

Will your church kick you out if you are conservative?

Most churches are desperate to get new members, increase attendance, and retain current members. Especially when those members are active in spreading the gospel and pushing back against the "woke" world.

But apparently, not if you are too conservative!

I haven't been able to find the name of the church that did this but if I do, I will update this post.

Mark Fitzpatrick is in Eagle, Idaho. He is an active, conservative Christian.

He has run multiple businesses but the one he is most known for is Old State Saloon.

Recently, his church kicked him out!

Why? Was it because he was running a bar?

Was it because he wasn't attending?

Was it because he was teaching heresy?

Was it because he was openly committing some great sin?

No - to all of this

He was apparently being too successful in promoting free speech and mocking the woke culture.

Mark helped establish a church in Eagle, Idaho a few years ago. But when he hosted "Heterosexual Awareness Month" in his bar - this was a step too far.

The church told him to stop because it was causing disruption and was being divisive.  When Mark didn't stop - he was told he was no longer welcome to attend.

He was forbidden to attend church or go on church property.

No Sin Identified

The church couldn't identify any sin that he was committing. But they could identify that he was upsetting some - and apparently the church's 3 pastors.

There's a story about a bishop that goes like this:

He said, "Everywhere the apostle Paul went, there was either a riot or a revival.  Everywhere I go, they serve tea."

I have a feeling this church would also not welcome the Apostle Paul either!
